As always, you will find the complete recipe and instructions below, this is just an overview of the ingredients you will need:
- Strawberries, stems and chopped
- Confectioners Monkfruit Sweetener
- Optional: vanilla extract, lemon juice
Note: this recipe does not use any additional water or other liquid. The strawberries release their own juices as they cook, creating the perfect sauce.
How do you make Strawberry Sauce for Cheesecake?
- To make the strawberry sauce: combine the sliced strawberries, monkfruit sweetener, vanilla extract (and lemon juice if using) in a small sauce pan over medium high heat. Bring the mixture to a simmer, while stirring occasionally.
- Reduce the heat to medium to a light simmer (not a rolling boil) for 10 minutes, stirring and mashing the strawberries as they cook. The berries will reduce and the mixture will thicken.
