Try this Chai Frappuccino for a creamy, sweet, keto friendly treat that has just under 2 net carbs per serving!
I love coming up with lighter, healthier alternatives to restaurant favorites. Often, you can create dishes that are tastier, lower in calories and carbs and much cheaper than what you find at restaurants. This is certainly the case with this Chai Frappuccino!
While I am normally a religious coffee drinker I do love a good chia tea! There is something about the combination of spices that I find very comforting. This drink is perfectly sweet and creamy, making it a great mid afternoon pick-me-up!
Ingredients for Chai Frappuccino
- Ice
- Chai tea concentrate or very strongly brewed chai tea
- Almond milk or milk: almond milk is lower in carbs if making a keto friendly option.
- Heavy Cream
- Sweetener: regular sugar, coconut sugar, or monkfruit for a keto friendly option
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla extract
How do you make a Keto Chai Frappuccino?
The key to this recipe is to make sure you start with a base of very strongly brewed, cold chai tea. If you start with a weak tea the overall flavor of the frappuccino will be very mild.
To make this drink simply combine all of the ingredients in a blender and blend for at least 30 seconds. Do a quick taste test and make sure it reaches your desired level of sweetness. Lastly, just top with whipped cream and cinnamon!
How many carbs does this drink have?
It can be pretty tough to find keto friendly drink recipes because they are often loaded with sugar and syrups! Luckily, this drink is keto friendly! If using the keto recipe options such as almond milk and monkfruit sweetener, this drink has about 3 net carbs.
