- 1 pound asparagus trimmed
- 1 teaspoon olive oil or a few quick sprays
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons parmesan
- 1 lemon optional
Preheat air fryer to 390 degrees F for 2-3 minutes.
Place the trimmed asparagus in a bowl or pan, then sprinkle with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well coated.
In a single layer, cook asparagus for 6-8 minutes for thin asparagus or 9-10 minutes for thick asparagus.
Sprinkle asparagus with parmesan and cook for 30 more seconds to melt the parmesan. Remove from air fryer, squeeze lemon over the asparagus, and serve immediately.
If using a basket air fryer, you'll want to shake the basket once in the middle of cooking to ensure that they are evenly cooked.
