Ingredients

  • 1 pound asparagus trimmed
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil or a few quick sprays
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan
  • 1 lemon optional

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 390 degrees F for 2-3 minutes.
  • Place the trimmed asparagus in a bowl or pan, then sprinkle with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well coated.
  • In a single layer, cook asparagus for 6-8 minutes for thin asparagus or 9-10 minutes for thick asparagus.
  • Sprinkle asparagus with parmesan and cook for 30 more seconds to melt the parmesan. Remove from air fryer, squeeze lemon over the asparagus, and serve immediately.

Notes

If using a basket air fryer, you'll want to shake the basket once in the middle of cooking to ensure that they are evenly cooked.
